Overview

Ru̹bâ Dîrîdî Kâchyâ was founded in time immemorial, reportedly some time durring the early 8th century, by Rust. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Rust.

Ru̹bâ Dîrîdî Kâchyâ was built using the conventions of Rattu durring the early 8th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ru̹bâ Dîrîdî Kâchyâ is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Ru̹bâ Dîrîdî Kâchyâ is buildings have been located at convienant points along the mountain Ru̹bâ Dîrîdî Kâchyâ was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the broad paverstone streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The city posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. The failry decent fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Ru̹bâ Dîrîdî Kâchyâ has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Ru̹bâ Dîrîdî Kâchyâ’s streets. Yet, deep down, you know this atmosphere is a carefully created illusion. You can see the ocasional seam in their tapestry. You’re not sure what has them doing their best to act so carefree, but act carefree they do.

History

A vast influx of newcomers over the last 5 years has greatly spiked Ru̹bâ Dîrîdî Kâchyâ's population. They may have been drawn by economic opportunities, or fled some pursuing peril, or been forcibly moved there by a ruler who wanted to dilute the existing native cohesion. The natives may not have the resources or opportunities to integrate these newcomers, and it may be that the new population has no desire to stay longer than is necessary.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century Augusta Peak, an iconic vista located neare Ru̹bâ Dîrîdî Kâchyâ, proved to be volcanic when the peak erupted. The eruption was isolated to the area around Ru̹bâ Dîrîdî Kâchyâ, which was swallowed in ash, lava flows, and pyroclastic gasses. Ru̹bâ Dîrîdî Kâchyâ lost 129 people, 102 livestock, and 55 buildings in the disaster. The event is forever remembered as the Day of Heartache's Wrath.
